Airport school gives emphasis on maintaining English atmosphere in the campus.
An exciting new initiative that airport school has recently introduced to enhance students English communication and quick thinking skill is JAM(Just A Minute) session which requires participants to speak on a topic without hesitation repetition or deviation...
An audio visual language lab is set up to create an immersive learning environment that supports the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English.
In alignment with the goals set forth by the NEP,Airport school has recently launched the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) program. This initiative aims to ensure that students in the early grades, particularly from Classes 1 to 3, develop strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy with strategies like activity based learning and the help of digital tools and apps. Class wise assembly program, allows each class to take turns with students actively participating in various roles including delivering speeches and thoughts, reading news updates and performing on special days which will provide platform for students to showcase their talents, overcome stage fright and developed strong communication skills
Observances and celebrations.... To instill cultural and global awareness, a sense of national pride and to educate students on social causes and values, Airport school observes various important national and international days throughout the academic year. These observances and celebrations, which include days like Gandhi Jayanti, Republic Day.Independence day,Environment day,Vayana dinam,Bakrid, Onam and christmas are celebrated with special assemblies, activities, and events.
Literary, cultural and sports fest....
Airport School has always been proud to have a set of vibrant,talented and sportive set of students who have brought 'Laurels' to the school.
Airport school students bagged the championship trophy for Malappuram Sahodaya under 14 girls,under 19 girls and under 19 boys Badminton championship.
Airport school bagged first rank in Sugama examination held in November 2023.
To make parents stay informed about the lessons covered and the pace of their child's education, the school has adopted a practice where teachers regularly update the progress of period-wise classes given.
As part of swachh Bharat programme conducted by AAI,students from various classes actively participated in cleaning the school ground and took part in a walkathon from Calicut Airport to Newman Junction with awareness banners. Fruit tree saplings were planted in the school campus.In addition to the cleaning activity, a drawing competition was also held.
Airport school is committed to providing a holistic educational experience that prepares students for the challenges of the future, by implementing activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing & encouraging active participation in diverse programs. All students will be given opportunities to take part in CBSE activities like Veer Gatha Project and equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
