General Information

The Airport school was established more than two decades ago in the year 1990 inside the AAI residential complex.The main objective of the school is to provide quality education to the children of the employees of the Airports Authority of India and to fulfill the corporate social responsibility to provide value based education to the children in the neighbourhood, irrespective of caste creed, religion or sex.

  • Wearing uniform is compulsory for the students on all working days, However, students will be permitted to wear colour dress on the reopening day after summer holidays as well as after Onam & X'mas holidays. Disciplinary warnings will be intimated in the diary.

  • Parents can meet the teachers after taking a prior appointment.

  • Meeting with Principal is possible with prior appointment through office.

  • The School Campus is under strict CCTV Surveillance.

    Rules of General Discipline ,Conduct and Behaviour for students:

    • Every student must bring this diary to school on all working days. Pages are provided in this diary for communication between the teachers and the parents.

    • A pupil must have 75% of the total attendance to be eligible for promotion. Medical certificate from competent authorities must be produced for absence of more than six continuous days. Failure of the same will lead to re-admission as per rules.

    • Continued absence for 5 consecutive working days, without prior intimation shall result in the removal of the students name from the rolls.

    • Students shall not wear costly ornaments and jewellery. The school takes no responsibility for the safety of such articles. Only small and simple ear rings are permitted for girls. Artificial and decorative ornaments are also not permitted. Students up to class IV are not allowed to wear wrist watches.

    • Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the school. If found, it will be confiscated and strict disciplinary action as deemed fit shall be initiated against the student.

    • All students are expected to avail the facility of the school buses positively. If any transport facility other than Airport School bus, is used, it will be under the risk of parents/guardian. School will not be responsible for any type of risk. No additional stops or additional routes other than the existing ones will be allowed.

    • Parents must ensure that their children are not sent to the school if they are unwell. Children suffering from infectious or contagious diseases shall not be sent to school until they are fully cured. In such cases a medical fitness certificate must be produced on their return to school.

    • Parents shall ensure that the books of their wards are kept neat and tidy.

    • The school gives utmost importance to discipline. The parents are requested to fully co-operate with the school authorities in enforcing the same, ln matters of discipline, the decision of the school authorities will be deemed final.

    • The Expenditure incurred in taking students to participate in external competition are to be borne by the parents.

    • Airport Senior Secondary school is an institution run strictly on secular lines and hence no religion / community will have claim for any special consideration / sanction by the school. No extra arrangements shall be made in the school for any specific religious activities.

    • Parents are requested to intimate the school about the change in address or phone numbers.

    • Most of the text books prescribed for the school are published by the NCERT / CBSE . However in lower classes, text books conforming to the CBSE syllabus are also prescribed. These books are made available through the school.

    • A student is allowed to wear colour dress other than T-Shirts and Jeans on his/her birthday. Those who violate this rule shall not be permitted to attend the classes and will have to leave the campus.

    • Respect the authority of the teachers and all other school staff. This means that you will accept and carry out instructions and requests immediately, without answering back. If you feel you have been treated unfairly, you may justify yourself in person after obeying it in a quiet manner.

    • Ask/request for things politely rather than being forceful.

    • It is preferable to speak in English since Practice leads to Perfection.

    • Students should attend classes, submit assignments, records,homework etc. In time. Students coming late shall enter the class only with the permission of the teacher. No student should leave before the class is dispersed by the teacher.

    • Students should go silently in a line while going to the assembly and also from one class to another.

    • Permission from the school Principal is to be obtained by the student for leaving the school campus before the end of the classes.

    • Students not having classes should not loiter in the veranda. They should remain quite in their class rooms or in the library.

    • Instant agitation arising in the campus disturbing regular class is banned.The school properties should be handled with maximum care and everything possible must be done to preserve the cleanliness of the building, furniture,computer labs, library books and the school premises.

    • The class tests, series tests and model examinations are to be attended by all the students with sufficient preparation.

    • Students are not permitted to bring motorized vehicles inside the school campus on their own.

    • Students coming in bicycles should park it only in the area provided and should not use it inside the campus beyond the parking area.

    • Students should strictly have their ID cards with them and display the same using the card holder and tag provided.

    • Any Student, who is persistently insubordinate to teachers or staff, who is habitually irregular in attendance or inattentive to his work in classes, who is repeatedly mischievous or obscene in words or act, who is guilty of fraud or malpractice at examinations, who indulges in movements which may lead to communal ill feelings or enmity, is liable to be punished including removal from the roll of school and principal's decision will be final in this regard.

    FEE REMITTANCE

    • Fees can be remitted monthly/ multiples of months through any branch of Federal Bank. The bank challan is issued to students from the school. All parents /guardian may ensure to remit the fees in time, and non-remittance of fees (arrears) for more than two months will lead to proper disciplinary action including removal of students from the roll if deemed required by the school authorities.

    • Period of Remittance : from 5th to 14th of every month.

    • No payment will be collected by the bank before or after the above dates. Failure of remittance in time will lead to a fine of Rs. 200/- The payment along with the fine can be made during the following month between 5th to 14th.

    • A drop box facility will be provided in the school on the 7th and 8th of every month. Parents / students can use this facility. The payment can be done only by separate cheque (Calicut / Malappuram Clearing) for each child along with the duly filled in challan form.

    • Online fee remittance facility is available through Federal Bank app(Fed-mobile)also.

    • Fee payment through NEFT is not permitted.

    • In case of holiday being declared on the last date of fee payment, the next bank working day may be used for remittance.
